Planet of the vapes: Products now selling at 200 pharm­acies

The sight of pedestrians huffing out clouds of sweet-smelling vapour are becoming more common in New Zealand’s towns and cities. Traditionally sold in vape shops, vaping devices are now sold in pharmacies, a move that even has the support of the asthma foundation. Pharmacy Today reporter Jonathan Chilton-Towle reports

Having these on the shelf (possibly next to other smoking cessation products) in a pharmacy by default gives them a type of legitimacy (and therefore safety and therapeutic value) in some consumers eyes.
