Futsal is a Brazilian variant of indoor soccer – known for increased speed and ball contact. It isn’t a well-known sport in New Zealand, but it turns out an Auckland pharmacist is right at the top of the national game as both a coach and a player. Bakr Al-Saudi, pharmacy manager at Unichem Leabank Pharmacy in Manurewa, has become adept at juggling many demands to follow his passion for the sport. Pharmacy Today reporter Nerine Zoio speaks to Mr Al-Saudi about his futsal-playing ways
How did you manage to make time for pharmacy and futsal?
