The Pharmaceutical Society of New Zealand is hosting its 2023 “Just Breathe” Conference at the Waipuna Hotel and Conference Centre in Mt Wellington, Auckland, on 17 and 18 June.

The “Just Breathe” themed conference was cancelled in 2020 due to concerns over the spread of COVID-19. The Society is excited to announce that this long-awaited two-day event is finally taking place this year. The 2023 “Just Breathe” programme will see a mix of plenary speakers and breakout sessions. Topics include vaping, managing medicines in the elderly, mindfulness, public health, respiratory health and the new health and disability system. Other sessions included in the programme are related to early career pharmacists, technicians and dispensary managers covering a wide range of topics all brought to you by world-class speakers.

Health Minister, Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall, is confirmed to deliver the opening address on Saturday, the first day of the conference. Dr Verrall is followed by an incredible line up of speakers including the Chief Executive Officer of the Asthma and Respiratory Foundation of New Zealand, Letitia Harding. Guest speakers range from pharmacists, technicians and GPs to mindfulness practitioners.

The approaching event will also include the PSNZ Annual Awards Gala Dinner on the evening of the first day of the conference, and the PSNZ AGM taking place on the morning of the second day. The conference closes on Sunday at 4.15pm.

The Pharmaceutical Society is extremely grateful and proud to receive the support and participation of its sponsors AstraZeneca, Pfizer, GSK and Viatris, as well as Green Cross Health who is sponsoring the Awards Gala Dinner once more.

The 2023 “Just Breathe” pharmaceutical conference will provide an ideal opportunity for pharmacists, technicians and professionals in the health sector to interact, network and gain new knowledge and skills.
