The group representing natural products manufacturers has slammed the recent reclassification of artemisia annua extract to a prescription only medicine

Artemisia annua extract, a key ingredient used in the controversial dietary supplement Arthrem, has been classified as a prescription medicine effective today.

Artemisia annua extract is being classified as a prescription medicine from today, following a recommendation from the Medicines Classification Committee (MCC).
