HOSPITAL PHARMACISTS and technicians in New Zealand and Australia have teamed up to share practices, education and knowledge.

MORE THAN 723,000 New Zealanders were dispensed opioids in the past year, according to figures released by He Ako Hiringa.

PHARMACISTS CAN NOW ONLY dispense dulaglutide (Trulicity) once monthly because of global supply issues, and some think Pharmac should have acted sooner to head off the supply issue.

The minor-ailments scheme is finishing tomorrow but pharmacists are pleading for it to continue, and want it rolled out nationwide.
